About The Artists
GRAMMY& IBMA award winners Rob Ickes & Trey Hensley have been called “two of the finest musicians playing today” by No Depression, “bluegrass aces” by Rolling Stone, “an acoustic firestorm” by Vintage Guitar, and ”dual lightning strikes in a bottle” by Guitar Player. Ickes is the most decorated instrumentalist in IBMA history as the 15-time IBMA Resophonic Guitar (Dobro) Player of the Year. Hensley is the 2025 and 2023 IBMA Guitar Player of the Year. Together, Rob & Trey are a powerhouse acoustic duo that has electrified the acoustic music scene with their guitar prowess, white-hot picking, world class musicianship, soulful stone country vocals and top-shelf songwriting,
Rob and Trey won a GRAMMY in February 2025 for Best Traditional Blues Album as members of the Taj Mahal Sextet, and were nominated for Best Bluegrass Album for their first recording together in 2014.
