Postponement/Cancellation of March, April and May events due to coronavirus

The situation with the coronavirus (COVID-19) is evolving rapidly across the United States. As local, national and global public health recommendations shift toward mitigation of transmission, our priority remains the safety and well-being of our community. We are therefore assessing whether to proceed with Del Mar Foundation community events on a case-by-case basis.

As of 3/16/2020, The Del Mar Foundation is cancelling or postponing all April & May 2020 events to conform to social distancing recommendations put forth by public health officials. We’ll update this page as necessary to address future events.

The following events are cancelled or postponed:

3/21/2020 Spring Meet & Greet for Dogs and their Owners

3/24/2020 Spring Community Night Out

4/2/2020 First Thursdays: Hutchins Consort

4/5/2020 Bluegrass & Beyond: The Railsplitters

4/12/2020 Easter egg Hunt at Seagrove Park

5/11/2020 First Thursdays: Yale Strom

We will continue to monitor the situation and make further determinations regarding upcoming events as developments require, and notify you of any changes as soon as possible. In the meantime, we recommend that you keep informed by visiting the following websites:

US CDC coronavirus disease

California Dept of Public Health coronavirus disease

San Diego County coronavirus disease

While we are deeply disappointed to take this step, we firmly believe that postponing these events is in the best interests of our community. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to monitor this anxious, challenging situation.

Stay healthy Del Mar!
