Get Involved with the Del Mar Foundation
The Del Mar Foundation is an active, hands-on organization powered by inspired volunteers and generous donors from a broad cross-section of the community. If you are interested in working on First Thursdays and other cultural events, DMF Talks, children’s activities, dog events, the July 4th Parade, or other community events, or if you enjoy graphic and website design, or social media work, please let us know. We would love your input and your volunteer time!
Email us if you would like to volunteer, or would like to learn more about volunteering opportunities: dmf@delmarfoundation.org.
Recent DMF Grants
Thanks to the continued generosity of our donors, the Del Mar Foundation has made a number of grants to benefit our community. These are just a few: Monarch Butterfly Demonstration Garden at Civic Center (Click here to learn more); All-terrain beach accessible chairs and mats; and the Del Mar Climate Change Symposium (Click here to learn more).
Who We Are
Founded in 1982, the Del Mar Foundation is Del Mar’s community foundation and its oldest 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We sponsor a wide range of programs and events, make community grants, and manage over $9 million in endowment and reserve funds to benefit Del Mar and the San Dieguito Lagoon.
Our mission: to promote civic pride and cohesiveness, acquire and preserve open space, improve beaches and parklands, raise and grant funds, and sponsor diverse cultural programs and community events in Del Mar. As we work to inform and inspire the Del Mar community, we welcome your participation and support.
