Dr. Adam Young is a coastal geomorphologist at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego. He conducts field based research to quantify coastal processes, hazards, morphology, and erosion. He is a recognized expert in coastal cliff erosion and manages the Scripps coastal mapping program. Young received his BS in civil engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and PhD from UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering.
